Do you actually need a website designer?Heck, no. You can prepare your own website from scratch in HTML, in one of the common word-processing tools that let you convert to HTML, or in a website design tool such as Adobe® Dreamweaver®. The advantage of a website design tool is that it lets you more easily incorporate customer-friendly features, such as style-sheet based consistency and navigational widgets. Your site might include one or more templates; a page for each customer-facing aspect of your business; and any number of graphics, including not only photographs but elements such as buttons, divider bars, and pure decoration. You might have dozens of links, including links mapped to any of the aforaementioned graphics. Your task list would include link testing, involving cycling through each link with every addition or deletion of information throughout your page set. If you had time left you then would make sure the code was as clean as possible in order to save space. Then there's your content. You would want to make sure that everything was clearly written using good grammar and spelling. You would want to be sure to avoid ambiguity, unintentional gender or cultural bias, and idiom. Similarly, you would avoid the kind of terminology and convoluted sentence structures that fail to translate reasonably well through automated online translation tools. When everything was done you then would settle into a website maintenance cycle. When you wanted to make a change, such as in the content or color scheme, you need merely start over. Or, you could hire Skyway Consulting! See these links:
